Mandatory volunteering is a good idea if we in those in need's shoes. This thing is good to almost the needy. Why I say that? Because I think that few people,they may be hate to be helped and they think they can support themselves by something or their self-esteem not allowed.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, mandatory volunteering still causes some terrible effects. In my experience, my friends and I have been suffer services due to mandatory volunteering. But my some friends seemed to consider it is an unimportant and waste time thing. They say they rather than donate money. They probably not realize meaning of philanthropy, they begin to hate devote for others due to mandatory.
However, the other friends and I don't think that, we have an idea that doing volunteering not only can help people,try manage to finish something we can't originally but also obtain satisfication and happy. Of course, mandatory volunteering have it great effect. One of my good friends, she loves to does this thing. And she has passion and interest in giving away what she can help. She say that she doesn't want to stop and she wants to help many variety of people.
Although she does it because of mandatory, she inspired in the process and wants to keep on doing such as a real challenge.

I think mandatory volunteering is a good idea.Because there are some people who need helps.Some people like Bill Gates will devote their wealth and power to help the poor without any repay.It is a very admiring thing that we should follow.For we,mandatory volunteering may be a challenge to do but eveything could start if you want to do it.Therefore,I should help someone when they need help that I'll be prouder of myself.
ReplyDeleteLots of people have a myth，that is they think only rich people can do mandatory volunteering. But in my opinion, I think all we need is a passion attitude. Although be a volunteering man may be challenging, do your best to help the most people you can help. Rich people can donate their money, we can devote our time and energy. Their are variety way to do mandatory volunteering, all you need is just to do it.
ReplyDeleteI think Mandatory volunteering is good. It makes people help others even though at the very first time they didn't want to do it. I think it can make the world better. For example, in the movie "Pay it forward" the boy can come up with the idea, because his teacher ask them to do it. Sometimes people just need others to give them a push. There are many ways to help others such as donating money, sharing skills, giving away time and energy and so on. It is possible that mandatory volunteering become an interest, that is helping people become one of your habbit. In this case, mandatory volunteering is really good.

I think the mandatory volunteering is a good idea. Take myself for example. The first time I do the volunteer is due to teacher’s request. I went to “clean the beach” with my family. After hours working, the beach became completely different. There were only clear beach and limpid ocean without garbage. Looking that scene, I feel very thrilled and satisfaction. It was a special experience for me. Since then, I knew that even personal service could make the world better. And the philanthropy is not just donate money, you can devote your time or skill to helping the society. If you are determined to do the philanthropy, you will find that you have the ability to change the world!

i dn't think it is a good idea that make the volunteering mandatory . people do philantropy , because they want to . their action is out of passion and satisfaction. they find for happiness by doing so.they interest in watching smile on others . when you force somebody do the philantropy, it will lose its true meaning oh the word , philantropy. although there many people say that" Philanthropy is the Basis for Happiness " , i do think personally this is based on sincere.

When they do what you want them to do they may find theirsolves feel proudly and have thrilled to help people again. So mandatory volunteering is a good idea. We can proposal the government to let it be a class in every school maybe in this way our country will good batter.
ReplyDeleteI don`t think it is a good idea that the volunteering mandatory.Thought it is a good and meaningful,someone don`t volunteer to help others ,than he can`t supply good service and the receiver can`t receive real care.I think volunteer to do something is admiring.If someday I can firmly receive challenges,I find my favorite.

I think the mandatory volunteering is not a good idea.I think that volunteering must build on peoples' genuineness . If they were not want to do it in their mind ,the work will lost their meaning,the mind of devote will lost ,everythihg will not do so succes .Volunteering must be so interesting because you "want" to help others.So I think the volunteering is willing not mandatory.

I think mandatory volunteer is really a good idea.In many unpredicted disasters,mandatory volunteers showed up to help others and won reptation.In the other hands,people devote their passions to charitable activities also can raise their self-satisfation.That's why I think mandatory volunteer is a good idea!

Mandatory volunteering is good activity to help society, it is not only can help other's but satisfiled personal requirement.

Normally,we recond volunteering as kind of charity that devote your passion and serice.Which means,it has to come out from only one's heart that makes him or her to do it.This job requires ourseives' time,strength and even money,so people often consider a while before they do it.
ReplyDeleteThe advantage of mandatory volunteerings that it gets affective force on people to complete the job.In another word,it certainly gather or people to do it.And it somehow makes the better achievement.However,it is not the initial concept of this activty.We regard it as charity because it is based on peoples' willingness.
During doing this,it makes us filled with satisfaction and proud.Of course we dont want to see any upset faces when being a volunteer,such as school work that you can not be better unless you "want" to get better.
If one doesn't want to do something,nobody can force him.As a result,i don't think that mandatory volunteering is a good idea.

I don't think mandatory is a good idea because mandatory means that the volunteering activities are not doing by students'their personal thoughts.Maybe some students are very willing to donate their times and energy to do volunteering but others are not.I think school should respect students'own opion and their wills.School can inspire students to do volunteering but not force them to do something that is not their interest! by Frances珮因

ReplyDeleteMandatory volunteering is a requirement not out of personal volunteer,so most people don't like it and think it is a bad idea.However,I think it is a good idea,because if a person can devote his/her time,money or energy to do it out of his/her true heart,he/she will get happiness,self-esteem and achievement and desire to do it after the requirement finished.

I think mandatory volunteering is a good idea. If students never do it,they won't find the happiness of it or they will spend more time to find the pleasure. However,I oppose to write an essay about what they do or which charity they went to. Writing the essay as a homework will decrease their interest in doing volunteering. If writing essay can disappear,I think mandatory volunteering will be more popular.

I think that mandatory volunteering is not a very good idea. If someone do the thing by volunteering, and he or she will do this thing with happy thought. If someone is reluctant to do something he or she don't want to do, he or she will be angry or want to leave. So, we should not ask somepeople to do something. We should give them a concept about being a good volunteer. We should do more on publicity, but not force people to do this.

Although I don't support the idea of madatory volunteering,I still have to admit that there are some advantage in mandatory volunteering.It forces us to help other people instead of personal desire,and it actually broadens our horizon,making us see all lifes from different people.However,when we do the mandatory voiunteering not from voluntary.We can barely get satisfaction.Take myself for example,school asked me to be a volunteer ,otherwise I wouldn't graduate.When I help those people in need ,I just felt that I was finishing a school work.Therefore,I have little desire to continue to be a voiunteer. Volunteer is a special activity, and I think that it is a work which can make someone happy but not pressured. I think mandatory volunteering is not a good idea for someone who wants to help people or not, because it always makes people feel stressed but not happy.
ReplyDeleteI do the volunteer once a week when I enter the stage of university, because I want to do something I had not do when I was in high school. I join the association which was organized by a group of college students who have passion to do volunteer. I love play with kids so that I choose the work to lead pupil to read the Analects of Confucius in the morning in Wednesday. I manage my school timetable in order to do the service which I am interested in. I also had done the mandatory volunteering when I was in junior high school. It can’t make me got satisfaction and always make me feel tired of doing the work. So I think volunteer should devote their true mind to do their work, not just in appearance.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, most people in the world do not help others spontaneously ,so mandatory volunteering is suitable on them. But,on the other hand, I think that question is different from person to person. Although it is a good way to make knowledge to daily life, volunteering from your personal heart is the most important thing. Now, in Africa, millions of people hope for your help. They have to challenge their hunger. Often, people who have intention of devoting himself or herself to others do not know where to offer help and how to contact them. Showing filial obedience or devotion for your parents is a way to volunteer.

If you want to devote something to those who need to help , it is not forced by someone . That will lose the value of the volunteering .

People should do their best to help others, but not forced by someone, It will be meaningless if you are forced volunteering. ReplyDeleteI think that mandatory volunteering is not a good idea. "volunteering" means working in one's pleasure, and "mandatory" means doing something in someone's command. The two words are on the contrary. In consequence, we can't put they together. However, I agree that we can make someone to do something good to the world without called mandatory volunteering.

In my opinion,mandatory volunteering is a good way for those people who are more selfish and do not like to help others to devote themselves. I don't agree "mandatory volunteering", but I do agree the thought which want more people into volunteering. As it says on the book,"mandatory and volunteering are oxymoron". The meaning of volunteering is the will to help others in need. So mandatory volunteering is not really a way of volunteering.

i think mandatory volunteering can be a great thing for young people, because it might start and inspiring a new thing in they life.they weren't longer going to the party and having fun through day,but from mandatory volunteering,they can start to help others, start to care with other people's needs. by doing those mandatory volunteering,maybe they will feel bored or maybe just waste their time, but they might have those chance to feel how's the feeling of being part of community. they will find something more satisfaction in this world by doing meaningful things.

In my opinion,the mandatory volunteering is not good idea because volunteering really mean that people do what they really wnat to do so mandatory and volunteering are oxymoron.If we want people to be volunteers, we should teach them,like students, what is volunteering,how to do,why we have to do it and its improtantce.

ReplyDeleteFrom my persepective, I am opposed to mandatory volunteering. The reasons why I think so are as follow. First of all, donation as well as devotion need to out of volunteer not compelling mind. Someone who has high self-esteem may have less passion to stertch his hands to challenge circumstance. Moreover, when you determined to help others sincerely, not only satisfaction is what you get, but admiring comments are also yours. Last but not least, you got the feeling that smile proudly, this smile can inspired more people to volunteer. Therefore, I couldn't agree mandatory volunteering.
ReplyDeleteWhen we determined to mandatory volunteer , we could proudly say "I'm a loved person." I agree being a volunteer if people have other time or enough money to donate who's money or passion . That is a good thing to the world. But , if somebody employs that doing some philanthropies to elevate his/her fame ,I think that isn't a great deed to the word " philanthropy" .

Volunteering, in the dictionary, is the practice of people working on behalf of others or a particular cause without payment for their time and services. If now we ask someone to be a volunteer, it was not really a volunteering. Look at the school's homework which is asking student to help others, most of the student doesn't do it on serious. Does it really useful to student?
